CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY – July 25, 2017 – Dressman Benzinger LaVelle announces the addition of Attorney Danyel Rickman.
Danyel attended University of Cincinnati’s College of Law and graduated with her J.D. in 2015. While in law school, she was involved with the Black Law Student Association and served as a Student Ambassador to the Office of Admissions. Additionally, she interned with the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority as a Brandery Fellow and also at Ohio National Financial Services.
She was Executive Editor of the Freedom Center Journal. She served as a Research Assistant to the Center for Race, Gender, and Social Justice and Student Assistant to the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. Danyel received the Outstanding Law Student Award from the National Association of Women Lawyers.
In August 2015, she began a clerkship in bankruptcy court with Judge Jeffery P. Hopkins, Chief Judge for the Southern District of Ohio. She was sworn into the Ohio Bar in November of 2015.
Danyel currently serves as Trustee for the University of Cincinnati’s College of Law Alumni Association Board and is also a member of the Scholarship Committee of the Black Lawyer’s Association of Cincinnati.
