CRESTVIEW HILLS KENTUCKY- November 14, 2016- DBL Law is pleased to announce the addition of two new associate attorneys to the firm, Colleen R. Fausz and Joseph M. Kramer.
Colleen R. Fausz will be practicing in the business organization and taxation, estate and succession planning, and banking and commercial sections within the firm. She will be assisting trusts, estates, businesses, nonprofits, and individuals with tax compliance and tax and estate planning. Colleen will be representing companies in acquisitions and divestitures, as well as consulting on a variety of business and employment tax issues. Also a certified public accountant, Colleen transitions within DBL Law from her previous position as controller. In this capacity, she was responsible for managing all financial and equipment aspects of firm and associated staff.
Prior to joining DBL Law, Colleen worked for Deloitte as a staff accountant, where she performed audit procedures to ensure the accuracy, reliability and completeness of client financial statements. She obtained her J.D. from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College Of Law and graduated magna cum laude. Colleen was impressively recognized as second in her class and was an honored student on the Dean’s List for all eight semesters. She is active in her community and is a member of the Kentucky Society of CPAs and the Association of Legal Administrators.
Joseph M. Kramer joins the litigation and construction practice groups at DBL Law, after previously being a summer associate at the firm. His practice will focus on a variety of issues related to civil litigation, complex commercial litigation and construction law. Joey obtained his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College Of Law, graduating cum laude and being distinctly honored with the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Civil Procedure and the Gayle A. Mohney Scholarship. He also served as a staff member for the Kentucky Law Journal during his time in Lexington.
Prior to attending law school, Joey graduated summa cum laude from Kentucky Wesleyan College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and a minor in Economics. While at Kentucky Wesleyan, he was a four-year letter winner for the football team, a member of the President’s Roundtable, and a group leader for the school’s freshmen orientation program. He also worked for the Cliff Hagan Boys & Girls Club during his undergraduate career.
